Replacing the Handshake Economy in Ukrainian Agritech
Zbir was built to professionalize a $2B market where roughly 40% of equipment-rental agreements collapse during negotiation — lost in unanswered Telegram messages, disputed prices, and no-show operators. We designed a two-sided marketplace serving both farmers (who need combines, sprayers, and seeders for a narrow window each season) and verified equipment operators, with structured workflows for each role rather than a classifieds-style board. Every operator is document-verified before listings go live.
Escrow, E-Contracts, and Legal Certainty
To make the platform a real transaction layer and not just a directory, we built an escrow payment flow that freezes funds at booking and releases them automatically when the work is confirmed. Agreements are signed digitally with OTP-based signatures that satisfy Ukrainian legal requirements for binding e-contracts. The combination removes the two failure modes that dominate handshake deals: payment uncertainty for operators and performance uncertainty for farmers.
Real-Time GPS Tracking for Trust at Scale
Each active job streams live GPS data from the equipment, so farmers can verify work in progress without leaving the field office and operators have an objective record of hours worked. The platform launches MVP in summer 2026 with zero customer commission and 5–7% operator commission, and the first season is commission-free for early adopters — a deliberate choice to seed liquidity in the verified-operator supply side before scaling regionally.
